Hi there - love the green cape thing! I am SOOO enjoying the running commentary - what an adventure - how long do you have to get acclimated? Are classes starting soon? Did you get to see that huge statue (Ramses?) being rolled through the streets? It was featured on the news tonight. What a sight that must have been. Everyone is fine here - very hot, but not 105 hot. Sounds like pony tail weather - will it be that way the whole time you're there or does it cool off at all? Well, I guess I've asked enough questions for one day - we miss you and send you lots of hugs.
Love,
Aunt Ri

p.s. have you found a Starbucks????

Cairo is full of many adventures, and mysteries, and camels walking around and lying on doorsteps like dogs do in D.C., only here they are waiting to be hopped on to get to the Pyramids, or a coffee bar, or the market. You will be a wondrous traveller, and be forever changed. Watch out for the Queen's Chamber, and remember to practice meditation and relaxation, as the climb up is best done by a 20 year old!
Looking forward to seeing you. Looking forward to reading of your travels. Love and kisses, carl and harv

Your words conjure up perfect visuals - we can't wait to ride along with you on your travel adventures! Tell the truth now - it was that first trek across Pennsylvania to get to West Virginia that first sparked your interest in going to far off places??!!?
